The Jackson, SC Cemetery Survey Project
Description, Documents and Photos
This survey was completed in July and August, 2002, by volunteers from the Augusta Georgia Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Jackson Memorial Cemetery is located within the city limits of Jackson, South Carolina. The property is laid out so that a person entering the cemetery through the archway is facing Northeast. Therefore we designated the corners of the property as North, South, East & West.
GPS Coordinates for the four corners are: North - N 33° 20.139', W 81° 46.873'; South - N 33° 20.045', W 81° 46.799'; East - N 33° 20.081', W 81° 46.831'; West - N 33° 20.098', W 81° 46.945'.
To reach the cemetery from Beech Island, SC (just South of Augusta, GA):
- Travel South on SC State Route 125 for 12.2 miles.
- Enter Jackson and continue South on SC SR 125 for 1.2 miles.
- Two blocks after the only traffic light in town, turn left onto Hankinson Street
(just before the Phillips 66 gas station on the left).
- The cemetery is two blocks straight ahead, at the end of Hankinson Street.
