Jesus friends could not go to the tomb on the next day because it was
the Passover (a Sabbath Day) But His enemies got the Romans
to put a seal on the tomb. The seal would be wax or clay and stamped with the Roman stamp. If anyone moved the stone the seal would be broken.
They also posted Roman soldiers to guard the tomb
so no one could come and steal the body of Jesus.
