"Even the sound I must listen carefully to." Ah! You sound like just the right person. As you read the words, do they seem new each time? Do you feel their impact piercing your heart? | 10/3/98 The
Sapling
Taken from TD Jakes book "The Lady, Her Lover and Her Lord", page 25 & 28 It is the sapling that can be bent when it is young. We must bolster it early on so the tree can grow strong. Understand that it is also the sapling that makes the twisting tree. No matter how old the tree gets it is still effected by the sapling stage of life. We see the tree but the master knows that the tree is still wrestling with the misalignments of the sapling stage. We are like the sapling. and as the sapling we too are effected by our early growing stage of life. It is the sapling that is twisted and cries in the night. It is the the sapling that longs to be healed. The decisions we make are based on the perceptions of the child that hides behind the weathered eyes. Perched behind an older frame lies a CHILD who is still the same. It is the child who falls into or feels hurt. It is the scampering of the child's feet who runs away from abusive situation and sits in the house and cries for weeks because "I thought you were my friend." or "How could you marry me and not like me". It is the child who longs to go outside and play or snuggle up under a blanket. It is the child who must be reached, if you are to know yourself at all. Mark 10:14-16 (NIV) God calls the child in you, He draws you and He draws so much closer when we call him Father. Yes! the child in you needs to know your Father. Let Him talk to you as that child and help you get past the past, on to the future he has planned for you. |
| 10/6/98 The working of the Word as a
MIRROR,
1. It reveals our inward spiritual condition. As you read the Bible it is reading you. Don't just look at it do something about what it says. 2. It reflects what we can become in Jesus. It reflects the positive (2 Cor 5:17 we are anew creation in Jesus, Eph 2:6 seated in heavenly realm. I Pet 2:9-10 is a description of us. Chosen, royal, holy, a holy nation of people believing to God 3. It is resplendent with the Glory of God. (II Cor 3:18 we look in the mirror of the word and go from glory to glory. Jesus reflecting through us. 4. It acts as a window on the things. Power of things to come. ( 2 Cor 4:18-51, Rev 21:,1-2 5. It is an instrument God uses to reveal the invisible. |
| 10/6/98 NO
Condemnation There is NOW therefore NO condemnation to them that be in Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, it's the accuser of the brethren that accuses you. You must believe that when you accepted Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior, you are Sealed with the blood of Jesus and the devil cannot take your soul for you have given it to JESUS. For the devil to take your soul you will have had to forsake Jesus, turn your back on him, live ungodly and NOT care, then Die in that condition. You have NOT done this, nor never will! I know one thing this is NOT a decision, this is as natural as breathing. I could not stop loving and trying to please JESUS, any more than I could Stop my heart from beating! Its the same for you. When you are born again and Holy Spirit filled, in a way it is true it is IMPOSSIBLE to lose your salvation! Because you re doing the best you can to please your LORD and Master Jesus Christ, you're depending on him to be your Savior! That means WE are NOT perfect! If you ever get to thinking someone is perfect or look at others the LORD uses, then your inviting him to knock them off the pedestal your putting them on. Please don't do that for he will. The Bible says "confess ye sins one to another." When we do, we are letting each other know we acknowledge we NEED a savior! If we could be PERFECT, we would NOT need Jesus! But we NEED our Savior and he is faithful to forgive our Shortcomings, for he knows we are doing our best to obey him, and serve him, and we LOVE him above all Else! Please know this, God does NOT expect us never to make mistakes. We wrestle against the FLESH constantly, our FLESH has a louder voice then our Spirit. Stop beating yourself up over the weakness of our Flesh, just say Jesus I am going to continue to please you and when I mess up, I believe in faith that is why you're my savior, for you are faithful to forgive when I repent and do better. We cannot WORK our way to heaven, a preacher can lead millions to JESUS and still LOSE their OWN souls! This is a personal decision, do we want to please Jesus and be HOLY as he is HOLY? That's what the Bible says, that is a constant struggle while we are in this FLESH. But we must keep trying because although we will always fall short, at least we are doing the BEST we can and leaving the REST up to Jesus. Does this make sense? The bible says when Jesus Forgives, our Sins are remembered NO more! They are as far away as the EAST is from the WEST! I am telling you right now, every time you ask for forgiveness for something that Jesus has said is Forgotten, he does NOT even know what you re speaking about. For its the DEVIL that accuses you! NOT Jesus. Jesus has WASHED US clean with his Cleansing blood at Calvary. Jesus has paid the PRICE for US, knowing we could never be perfect. Do you understand. Stop asking forgiveness for something the LORD has tossed into the sea of forgetfulness. Do you re wash CLEAN clothes? The LORD gave me this revelation that s what many are trying to do, is wash your heart and certain sins that have already been CLEANSED. Unless you do the same thing again, then it needs to be CLEANSED again by the washing of our unrighteousness away with the CLEANSING BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST! Other then that you re asking to be cleansed from something that is already clean. Do you understand? The Previous Sins we committed as long as we asked for forgiveness, is Cleansed with the perfect shed blood of Jesus Christ! God the Father demands Holiness and he knows we can't be as HOLY as Jesus is, but we can when the HOLY Shed blood Washes and cleans us from Unholiness! When God the Father looks upon US, he sees his Jesus Christ blood covering US. Do you understand? Now let go of the lies others have told you, and believe what the Word of God says, you are forgiven and Jesus Christ LOVES you so much! You desire to please him and walk Holy before him. Don't ever think the LORD wants anything for you but the BEST, and he has given it to you through Jesus "No More Guilt". Romans 8:1 "So now, those who are in Christ Jesus are no longer judged guilty." 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more." Psalm 32:5 "Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,' and you forgive the guilt of my sin. Selah."
Prayer: "Thanks for forgiving us, Jesus. Praise You! Remove our guilt, our fear, and our shame. Let us know that we are completely forgiven. Give us joy! To You be all of the glory, honor and praise! In Jesus' name, Amen."
Psalm 51:12 "Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me." |
| 10/6/98 Draw
Near Heb 10:19-24 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.(vv. 19-25) There are three imperatives in this section: (1) "let us draw near" (v. 22), (2) "let us hold fast" (v. 23), and (3) "let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works" (v. 24). 1. Draw near. The entire being must be involved in drawing near to God. Without honest and sincere heart toward God, you are just lips. Jesus said in Mat 15:8 NIV This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. Heb 4:16 NIV Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Confidence in God's power wisdom and goodness comes from time spent in His presence and releases us to ask, seek and knock and it be opened to us (Matt.7:7) 2. Hold fast This demonstrates hope to the world. Heb 10:23 Let us hold (fast) unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. The Amplified Bible says it this way: So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His Word. In other words, don't give up! Seize your dream! if it has slipped, repossess it in the name of Jesus! keep holding fast to the confession of your hope that is in Jesus and His Word. don't give up on your lost loved ones! don't give up on your ministry! Don't give up on your deliverance! God is faithful to His Word. Heb 6:19 NIV We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain. In Heb 10:35 NIV So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. the reference here is to cowardly soldiers who throw away their weapons and flee from battle. Your confidence is you weapon and your shield. Hold fast to it and use it! 3. Consider one another When you motive and inspiration to do good deeds (beautiful actions) is a love for God and one another, hope carries you to victory. Heb 10:24 NIV And let us consider how we may spur (give attention, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir us [stimulate and incite] ) one another on toward love and good deeds. (Italics added from the Amplified Bible) Draw near to Him today and let Him renew your hope. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope (Jer 29:11). |
| 10/6/98 "PACE"
YOURself. The P stands for praise. Wake up saying, "Lord Jesus, I love You, I praise You." The A stands for abiding. Say, "Lord Jesus, You are the true Vine and I am the branch. I abide in You." The C stands for commitment. "Lord, I commit my heart, my life, my all to You. I am submitted to do Your will." And the E stands for expectation. "Lord, I expect You to live Your life through me, and by faith I thank you for it." |
12/22/98 Excert from: In the shadow of His wings, by Kelly (Kelsch@aol.com) The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, His resurrection, His victory over sin is the dividing line. Whatever is done outside the grace of God is sin. Righteous judgment is that which allows us discernment to know if someone needs to make Jesus the Lord of their lives or to know if someone is not living in the fullness of His power, grace, mercy, direction. Not in judging the sin, but in judging the need. When we have accepted Christ Jesus as the Lord of our lives, are we then made perfect. Not in the flesh! Our flesh is weak. Our Spirit desires the Lordship of Jesus Christ but our flesh opposes it. (Even Paul had this problem.) We fail when we put faith in our ability to overcome our weaknesses. It is only when we understand that our 'perfection' is that earned by Jesus Christ.... Not what we have been able to accomplish, that we can truly be free ("the perfect law of liberty") of sin's affect of pulling us away from His Lordship |
12/22/98 Have you ever wondered Why? Why do we clap our hands? "Clap your hands, all you people. Shout to God with Joy!" Psalm 47:1 Why do we lift our hands? "Raise your hands in the Temple and praise the Lord!" Psalm 134:2 "So, I want men everywhere to pray, lifting up their hands in a holy manner, without anger and arguments." 1 Timothy 2:8 Why do we sing in tongues and in English? "If I pray in a different language (in tongues), my spirit is praying, but my mind does nothing. So what should I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind. I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind." 1 Corinthians 14:14-15 Why do we prophesy? "You should seek after love, and you should truly want to have the spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy." 1st Corinthians 14:1 "But those who prophecy are speaking to people to give them strength, encouragement, and comfort." 1st Corinthians 14:3 Why do we have messages in tongues and interpretation of those tongues? "...The Spirit gives one person the ability to speak in different kinds of languages (tongues) and to another the ability to interpret those languages." 1st Corinthians 12:7-10 "...But do not stop people from using the gift of speaking in different languages (tongues)." 1st Corinthians 14:39 Why do we "lay hands" on people? "...They will touch the sick, and the sick will be healed." Mark 16:18 Why do we have women in the ministry? "You were all baptized into Christ, and so you were all were all clothed with Christ. This means that you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. In Christ, there is no difference between Jew and Greek, slave and free, male and female. You are all the same in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:26-28 Why do some people fall down when they are prayed for? "When Jesus said, 'I am He,' they moved back and fell to the ground." John 18:6 "As he (Saul) came near the city, a bright light from heaven suddenly flashed around him. Saul fell to the ground..." Acts 9:3-4 |
12/22/98 Soul Power Our souls were not created by God to give positive feedback. Our souls are meant to be vehicles of the expression of our spirits. Christians must bring their own souls into surrender to God to be used by Him. Jesus saved our spirits, God watches out for our bodies, but we have to bring our own free wills into alignment with the will of God. If God forced our free wills into this alignment, then our wills would not be free. This self-surrender is done by the stripping off (through binding and loosing prayer principles--the keys of the kingdom) of everything that the soul derives power and control from. Thousands of Christians are lulled into a state of complacency that all is well with our souls and our spiritual lives because we pray right, go to church and we sing and praise, God and respond to the message. But we are in the same dangerous state of the frog in the pan in the laboratory. If you put a frog into a pan of nice cool water (making provision to keep his little, green feet off the hot pan bottom), perhaps enhancing the ambiance a little to look like his favorite environment, being careful not to freak him out with anything too new, making him feel "safe"--do you hear me?--you can begin to raise the temperature of the water one degree at a time and he won't suspect a thing. He will just continue to adapt his body temperature to the increasing temperature. That "frog" will sit there and adapt until he is boiled alive! Maybe you believe that Satan could never deceive you like that. Perhaps not, but your own unsurrendered soul could, can and does on a regular basis. God won't save you from your own willful soul's deception! That is the lie that too many Christians today believe--that God will protect them from everything--sort of a spiritual "blanket policy" that allows them to pursue their own willful ways in safety. He will not protect you from the power of your own soul. You must choose to do that yourself. Strongholds exist in your soul to guard your wrong beliefs. These strongholds are the arguments, reasonings and logic that you have learned to use to protect and justify the lies and wrong beliefs that help you deny what you do not want to change. Those who have walled themselves in behind their own strongholds keep out God's efforts to set them free. It is imperative that these strongholds come down and the new creatures come out in power and victory! The very, very good news is that Jesus Christ made sure that provision existed for us to remove the protective walls that cause our souls to increase in self-power. We can strip away the strongholds that protect wrong beliefs and ideas, that protect lies about our unhealed hurts, that stand guard over our unmet needs. This is accomplished by using the keys of the kingdom (see Matt. 16:19). ****************************************************************************** From Liberity Savard web site.
